Battles – I will let God fight them.

Psalm 60:11-12

O give us help against the adversary, For deliverance by man is in vain. Through God we shall do valiantly, And it is He who will tread down our adversaries.

Spiritual Power in Christ

Dear god let me understand that you will fight my spiritual battles. Help me to not get in the way anymore. I have come to know that you are a powerful God and you will never let me go.

I must realize that the way to God is straight and narrow, but I also know that his strength is powerful and mighty to save. He shall fight my battles.

As I gain more knowledge that I am totally saved in Christ Jesus the more the enemy says it’s not so. I know that the battles are won in his grace and truth. I don’t have to fight on my own he has already fought them. That is something I need to hold on too.

The battles are finished and my chains are broken.

Verses to meditate on

That we also may be like all the nations; and that our king may judge us, and go out before us, and fight our battles.
With him is an arm of flesh; but with us is the Lord our God to help us, and to fight our battles. And the people rested themselves upon the words of Hezekiah king of Judah.
I pray thee, forgive the trespass of thine handmaid: for the Lord will certainly make my lord a sure house; because my lord fighteth the battles of the Lord, and evil hath not been found in thee all thy days.

Reflection Passage: (Psalm 111) The mighty works of God.

1 Praise the Lord. I will extol the Lord with all my heart in the council of the upright and in the assembly.

2 Great are the works of the Lord; they are pondered by all who delight in them.

3 Glorious and majestic are his deeds, and his righteousness endures forever.

4 He has caused his wonders to be remembered; the Lord is gracious and compassionate.

5 He provides food for those who fear him; he remembers his covenant forever.

6 He has shown his people the power of his works, giving them the lands of other nations.

7 The works of his hands are faithful and just; all his precepts are trustworthy.

8 They are established for ever and ever, enacted in faithfulness and uprightness.

9 He provided redemption for his people; he ordained his covenant forever— holy and awesome is his name.

10 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; all who follow his precepts have good understanding.
To him belongs eternal praise.

Divine Nature- Verse of the day (2 Peter 1:4)

We are spiritual beings put here on earth to shine light in a dark world. Let me pray everyday that I am able to exude his presence and allow God to use me in any capacity he needs. Let Christ shine through all of us this season.

All things on this earth are for us to enjoy and let us remember where all of the wonderful things here on earth come from at this time of year and season at our saviors birth.

Although we live in this world let us realize that we are only passing through and the great promise he has given to us is precious to be praised and honored. We hold on to that promise.

This Christmas I bow before the king of kings and lord of lords.

Let him be at our forefront every season.

Reflection Passage: (Psalm 98) (Let us all sing to the Lord this season)

1 Sing to the Lord a new song, for he has done marvelous things; his right hand and his holy arm have worked salvation for him.

2 The Lord has made his salvation known and revealed his righteousness to the nations.

3 He has remembered his love and his faithfulness to Israel; all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.

4 Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth, burst into jubilant song with music;

5 make music to the Lord with the harp, with the harp and the sound of singing,

6 with trumpets and the blast of the ram’s horn— shout for joy before the Lord, the King.

7 Let the sea resound, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it.

8 Let the rivers clap their hands, let the mountains sing together for joy;

9 let them sing before the Lord, for he comes to judge the earth. He will judge the world in righteousness and the peoples with equity.

Verse of the day – Encourage - (Hebrews 10:25)

Let us always remember that each part of the body of Christ has his part and we should find our gifts and talents and use them to support one another.

Christ set all of us free. It matters not if we are black or white, young or old, rich or poor to Christ Jesus we are all one performing a work until he returns for us.

The wonderful thing about the body of Christ is that at what ever capacity of service God works it all into place. From a person that helps pick up and clean around the church bldg to a high office in the church, Christ kingdom makes no certain distinction between persons. He is not a respecter of persons. The least shall be the greatest and the greatest shall be the least serving one another in love.

His only command is to love one another.

So we can find a place and feel comfortable knowing that we have been called and led by the spirit to do what we do.

Today I thank the living God that I am in a place of such love and should I fall I have those that will help me back on my feet.

Reflection Passage: (Psalm 88) (My God saves me)

1 Lord, you are the God who saves me; day and night I cry out to you.

2 May my prayer come before you; turn your ear to my cry.

3 I am overwhelmed with troubles and my life draws near to death.

4 I am counted among those who go down to the pit; I am like one without strength.
5 I am set apart with the dead, like the slain who lie in the grave, whom you remember no more, who are cut off from your care.

6 You have put me in the lowest pit, in the darkest depths.

7 Your wrath lies heavily on me; you have overwhelmed me with all your waves.

8 You have taken from me my closest friends and have made me repulsive to them. I am confined and cannot escape;

9 my eyes are dim with grief. I call to you, Lord, every day; I spread out my hands to you.

10 Do you show your wonders to the dead? Do their spirits rise up and praise you?

11 Is your love declared in the grave, your faithfulness in Destruction?

12 Are your wonders known in the place of darkness, or your righteous deeds in the land of oblivion?

13 But I cry to you for help, Lord; in the morning my prayer comes before you.

14 Why, Lord, do you reject me and hide your face from me?

15 From my youth I have suffered and been close to death; I have borne your terrors and am in despair.

16 Your wrath has swept over me; your terrors have destroyed me.

17 All day long they surround me like a flood; they have completely engulfed me.

18 You have taken from me friend and neighbor— darkness is my closest friend.

Verse of the day 12/25/14 (Nothing can separate us (part 2) Day 81 of 100

Verse of the day-Nothing can separate us (part 2) Day 81

The way Bible Gateway had this passage was split up verse 38 and verse 39 into two days and I didn’t realize it so yesterday I posted 38-39 together but this is worth a repeat for today. I did change the reflection passage to psalm 34 and everything else but I left the opening paragraphs the same. So here is the second part of nothing can separate us (Part 2)

Nothing can separate us (Part 2)

Dear father recently a loss has been experienced through a death and this scripture has assured me that you are in control of things at all times and know the end of things. We sometimes don’t understand but your spirit will conform us with trust and assurance.

We can always understand the words you have given us for comfort. In any loss or tragedy we can look to this scripture and find our comfort. Today’s scripture is one that I hold on to with assurance that all will be well and in safe hands with your spirit.

This scripture came in the 100 days of the most popular scriptures by Bible Gateway at a proper time. I can know that any loss will be in your direction and your plan. You have promised that those who even read the book of revelation will be blessed and revelation also says at the end that those who have trusted in you have a promise of a new Eden paradise along with a new earth.

Those that have gone before us will be waiting for us. So today I TRUST that all is well and nothing can separate that great love for us and a promise that can  not be broken (Eternal Live with You).

Reflection Passage: Psalm 34 (God is with us through heartaches)

1 I will extol the Lord at all times; his praise will always be on my lips.

2 I will glory in the Lord; let the afflicted hear and rejoice.

3 Glorify the Lord with me; let us exalt his name together.

4 I sought the Lord, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears.

5 Those who look to him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame.

6 This poor man called, and the Lord heard him; he saved him out of all his troubles.

7 The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him, and he delivers them.

8 Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him.

9 Fear the Lord, you his holy people, for those who fear him lack nothing.

10 The lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing.

11 Come, my children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the Lord.

12 Whoever of you loves life and desires to see many good days,

13 keep your tongue from evil and your lips from telling lies.

14 Turn from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.

15 The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are attentive to their cry;

16 but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil, to blot out their name from the earth.

17 The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles.

18 The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.

19 The righteous person may have many troubles, but the Lord delivers him from them all;

20 he protects all his bones, not one of them will be broken.

21 Evil will slay the wicked; the foes of the righteous will be condemned.

22 The Lord will rescue his servants; no one who takes refuge in him will be condemned.
