His compassion never fails

Lamentations 3:22

22 It is of the Lord‘s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassion’s fail not.

I know that God is awesome in power because I have experienced his direct hand of correction and disipline that ultimately led to an understanding and appreciation of that amazing compassion he has for us. God is mighty in power and worth all praise. He can not lie. God is Love.

I can choose to ignore the power of Christ’s compassion or accept it. Either way his Love has compassion to keep drawing me towards his kingdom. The death, burial and resurrection of Christ means  I have overcome the lies of the evil one through his power against death. I no longer accept being unworthy because I am hidden behind the veil.

The veil represents Jesus Christ; I have access into the presence of God which became possible through the death of Christ. Just as priest in old testament days had access through the veil. Jesus goes to the Father for us.

Scripture about compassion

Ephesians 4:32 – And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.

Matthew 9:36 – But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd.

Mark 6:34 – And Jesus, when he came out, saw much people, and was moved with compassion toward them, because they were as sheep not having a shepherd: and he began to teach them many things.

Matthew 14:14 – And Jesus went forth, and saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion toward them, and he healed their sick.

Song for my day

Everyone needs compassion (Hillsong)

Today let me accept that compassion and forgiveness. Let me truly rejoice and not just acknowledge but take it in my soul and rejoice and praise.
