Verse of the day 12/03/14 (Repent) Day 59 of 100

Repent – Verse of the day – Day 59

repentDavid W. AucoinRepent
Dear father I repent from my old way and turn to you today for forgiveness. I accept your holy spirit and walk in the newness of the spirit. Down with the old man and in with the new at baptism.

What a glorious day when we shall meet you and receive our new glorified bodies. No sickness and no death shall conquer us anymore.

Today as I go about my way I will reflect on the greatness of your name Jesus Christ. I will follow your word and receive the holy spirit with a repentant heart of gratitude.

I repent.

Reflection passage: Psalm 52 (Like Psalm 51 King David pours out his heart)

1 Why do you boast of evil, you mighty hero? Why do you boast all day long,
you who are a disgrace in the eyes of God?

2 You who practice deceit, your tongue plots destruction; it is like a sharpened razor.

3 You love evil rather than good, falsehood rather than speaking the truth.[c]

4 You love every harmful word, you deceitful tongue!

5 Surely God will bring you down to everlasting ruin: He will snatch you up and pluck you from your tent;
he will uproot you from the land of the living.

6 The righteous will see and fear; they will laugh at you, saying,

7 “Here now is the man who did not make God his stronghold but trusted in his great wealth
and grew strong by destroying others!”

8 But I am like an olive tree flourishing in the house of God; I trust in God’s unfailing love
for ever and ever.

9 For what you have done I will always praise you in the presence of your faithful people.
And I will hope in your name, for your name is good.

Verse of the day – Repent

Acts 2:38

Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Quote for my day:

O Holy Spirit, descend plentifully into my heart. Enlighten the dark corners of this neglected dwelling and scatter there Thy cheerful beams.
