Verse of the day 12/16/14 (Unity) Day 72 of 100

Unity – Verse of the day – Day 72

David W. Aucoin

Unity – (Psalm 133:1)

Again today the verse of the day is speaking about unity. Like yesterdays verse I can see that it is important that we live in unity as believers in Christ and let his love take over our lives.

We can know that when a body of believers are in unity his blessings are poured out upon his people. In the book of psalms king David tells us that God bestows his blessings and promises peaceful eternal life.

So today let me consider how important it is to live in love and peace not only with my church family but with all I come in contact with. Living the christian life is a way of life directed by the word of God. Let the word teach me and guide me in all I do and say today and forever.

Reflection Passage: We can read the chapter Psalm 133 today….

It is a very short psalm but it is no less important because of the length because it teaches us his love and to live in unity. I ask God to speak to my heart today as I confirm my commitment to live in peace and harmony with love for all of Gods children. We are all a workmanship worthy to be acknowledged and supported by each other in all we do.

1 How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!

2 It is like precious oil poured on the head, running down on the beard, running down on Aaron’s beard,
down on the collar of his robe.

3 It is as if the dew of Hermon were falling on Mount Zion. For there the Lord bestows his blessing,
even life forevermore.
