Verse of the day – Children of God - (John 1:12)

This morning as I am reading today’s scripture I am looking at my past and how I have been led by God and how thankful I am that I am a child of God. To be called a child of the author of the universe is something that I am excited to be able to experience and grateful.

I do have to be corrected day by day because of the second nature of sin but I am thankful that Jesus Christ gave his live for me and all who believe in what he did on the cross for the whole world.

He will take care of us.

He is fill of compassion.

He will guide us.

And he will correct us.

So today I give thanks for being a child of God.

Reflection Passage: (Psalm 127) (Perfect reflection passage for today)

1 Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city,
the guards stand watch in vain.

2 In vain you rise early and stay up late, toiling for food to eat— for he grants sleep to[a] those he loves.

3 Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him.

4 Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one’s youth.

5 Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. They will not be put to shame when they contend with their opponents in court.

Quote for my day:

A child who is allowed to be disrespectful to his parents will not have true respect for anyone.
