Verse of the day 05/11/2014

Prov 3:6
in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.

Having good health is such an important factor of life. We can have good health and well being by acknowledging the power of God and trust in him to keep us safe from illness. We must believe with a sincere heart that he can heal and take care of our lives.

Health is not the only thing, but he can keep us in the will of happiness. If we devote ourselves everyday to him we can be joyful and happy during times of disaster or what ever we encounter.
I believe devotion is such an important part of anyone’s spiritual life that if neglected or put off we are not connected to God because of our disobedience. We are separated. We have to keep in close communion with God so he will be able to answer our prayers and supplications.

This verse is talking about being humble in the sight of the Lord.

James 4:3
Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.

It is a serious matter when we ask of the Lord. We must go boldly before the throne of Grace and ask and yet at the same time we must ask with a clear and good heart of the Lord.

I have really been shown in my spirit lately that although prayer is important we must have constant prayer which will keep us in favor with the Lord.

So many things start coming alive when we read Gods word it is amazing. In today’s verse it tells us “in all your ways”. So here is what comes to me:

1 Thessalonians 5:17 ‘Pray without ceasing.’

Keeping God on our minds everyday and always talking with him in our spirit is a must for spiritual growth. Fellow-shipping with God. He rejoices when we allow him to give us pleasure. Here is the word I will use “communion” with the father.

When I get so wrapped up in the things of the world I have to make a conscious effort to bring myself back to his guidance. I have to slow down, focus on the word of God hidden in my heart. It is a good thing to keep the word handy when we need it. Now days the word is on our phones, computers etc. so we are always able to connect when we need him.

So today is Sunday, and I am excited to be able to sing unto God for what he has done for me so far in my life. Even if I feel I have failed in some way I know that I haven’t because he promises redemption. What could be more successful than that?

As I listen to today’s song for my day I will give God thanks for what he did for me.
He lives in me…………….
Amen
