Verse of the day 05/12/2014

James 1:14
But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed.

This morning as I am thinking and meditating upon this verse I think of my weaknesses and I also think of Paul in the bible. Paul had a thorn in the flesh and asked God to take it away but God did not. I think of this verse this morning.

2 Corinthians 12:9
And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

Paul prayed this prayer three times and God just said my grace is sufficient for thee.

It would be nice if in this world we could have all of our infirmities taken away but God operates upon Grace in our lives. He knows the human make up. If we can make a special effort then we will operate in the spiritual realm. We can have power from a spiritual sense and eventually we will someday be transformed into his image. As for now we are and will be dealing with fleshly desires.

We all have our own weaknesses. Some that bother others I have no problem with and vise versa.

The strength of God is made perfect in weakness and we should count it joy that He has overcome them. We learn to get out of the way of those temptations through grace and repent when we fall. Each time we fall we get stronger in that area. It is a process and not something we pray for and immediately those temptations are taken away, no it is a day by day process.

Today as I move into another blessed day I will know in my heart that I am becoming more and more like Jesus Christ purely by his Grace and there will be a day I will be able to stand before God and receive a new body and crown. That day I will be transformed and my struggles will be taken away and every tear will subside.

Until then I will praise him for my life and accept his grace bestowed upon us all.

Let the words in today’s Song for my day sink into my soul.
