1 Corinthians 2:9
But, as it is written, “What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him”
Today as I read this verse another verse comes to mind. 1 John 1-10. The whole chapter of 1 John 1 has been quoted over and over and I seem to get revelations from it every time I read it. So today all I would like to do is just read this verse over and over several times and get an understanding of how powerful God’s word is.
Today I realize how the spoken word of God is powerful beyond measure. Without the word which is Jesus the Christ there would be nothing made that is made.
His word is a power manifestation.
His word is spoken and manifested according to his plan.
A plan that will not fail.
I read this chapter and I am in awe of the power in the word. There is such revelation in this chapter.
Such a clear account of how we need to relate to Jesus in 10 short verses yet filled with truth.
1 John 1
That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;
(For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;)
That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.
And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.
This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:
But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Please father let me realize that my words are powerful to bring life or death. May I always take in account the power of my words.
May I watch what I say and concentrate on only speaking truth.
Let me edify with my words.
Let me build others up with my words.
Let me be wise with my words.
Let me see that the word is power.
Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.
So today as I move into another blessed day given to me by grace let me know that you are the word written in the bible as well as living in us.
