The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
I am at a place in my life where I can truly say I have all I need. These are basic needs that every human must have.
So I thank God I have been given oxygen so that I may breath.
I thank God that I have fresh and clean water to drink.
I thank God that I have more than enough food to eat.
I thank God that I have a roof over my head.
And I thank God that he makes me to lie down and rest in green pastures.
I have had people ask me questions like well how much are you worth? What is your retirement looking like? How much savings do you have?
Well I am a victim of my own mistakes which set me back financially, but I am ok with it because I have a presence and a knowledge of a better and more perfect plan that lies in waiting for me. I may have taken some major set backs in my life but one thing is sure all those past mistakes and set backs were made right at salvation.
I have a pretty good retirement plan in which I have inherited eternal peace and my riches are stored up in heaven. I can honestly say I am very happy with what I have. In fact I am a king in the eyes of citizens of other countries and I don’t take that image of me lightly.
My life is like the remarks below now and I really do look at things this way now.
I have an expensive BMW sports car. (It just looks like a 1997 used Camry)
I live and an exclusive neighborhood (It just looks like a trailer park)
I live in a 5000 sq. ft. home ( It just looks like a trailer)
I really believe what I have is really nice and I am proud and thankful for all of it. I respect God giving me and allowing me to have what I have.
I am healthy in my heart and I have a church family that loves me and I can call on them for prayer when I need prayer.
I really can’t see how I could want or need anything else.
So today as I move into another blessed day given to me by the grace of God Almighty. I will focus on this scripture below to affirm my appreciation for what I have.
Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.
If I ever want to live and learn how to walk as Jesus walked the Book of Philippians is full of verses to strengthen the mind and soul and teach us.
OK here is the question? Would I love a lot of money? I will say yes but it would not be for my gain but to help others. If God were to give me a large increase I have already determined in my heart that the money will be kingdom driven and not selfish.
