Verse of the day (John 3:16)
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Today as I focus on the most famous verse in the bible I just want to acknowledge his Love and try very hard to sit quietly and try to really understand just how God loves. I am glad that my eternal security does not depend on how mankind loves for if it did I would be in serious trouble. Man can not even start to understand a love like God’s love for us.
Gods Love is unconditional and only requires believe. His only requirement is that we give and live in honor and glory and praise trough faith in his son Jesus. We make mistakes over and over and yet he sees us and our sin through the eyes of Jesus. All forgiven as far as the east is from the west. Today all a want to do is focus on the following verses from the book of Psalms.
All I want to do is sit still and read these verses several times and then give thanks for another day.
The first psalm is an opening prayer for me today. There are plenty of verses about love in the bible but these verses from the book of psalms are comforting because they are written from the heart a man in the old testament King David. A man after God’s heart and a man that was the apple of God’s eyes.
There quite a few and they are comforting.
11 But let all who take refuge in you be glad; let them ever sing for joy. Spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may rejoice in you.
Test me, O LORD, and try me, examine my heart and my mind; for your love is ever before me, and I walk continually in your truth.
I will be glad and rejoice in your love, for you saw my affliction and knew the anguish of my soul.
Let your face shine on your servant; save me in your unfailing love.
The LORD loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of his unfailing love.
Your love, O LORD, reaches to the heavens, your faithfulness to the skies.
But I will sing of your strength, in the morning I will sing of your love; for you are my fortress, my refuge in times of trouble.
Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you.
Praise be to God, who has not rejected my prayer or withheld his love from me!
You are forgiving and good, O Lord, abounding in love to all who call to you.
But you, O Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness.
Righteousness and justice are the foundation of your throne; love and faithfulness go before you.
For the LORD is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.
He will not always accuse, nor will he harbor his anger forever; he does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities. For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him; as far as the east is from the west,
so far has he removed our transgressions from us.
Not to us, O LORD, not to us but to your name be the glory, because of your love and faithfulness.
the LORD delights in those who fear him, who put their hope in his unfailing love.
As I move into another day given to me by grace let me keep these verses in my heart today.
