Verse of the day (Matthew 12:15)
But when Jesus knew it, he withdrew himself from thence: and great multitudes followed him, and he healed them all;
In that day people were able to see remarkable miracles and believed. They had a great privilege to see first hand Jesus heal people. I would like to have seen but on this side of the cross we believe because of faith that it did happen. We have the holy word of God. Not only do we have the word of God but we have that moment we received the spirit of God which was a miracle in it’s self. The moment we felt his spirit come alive in us. At that very moment we were sealed. It’s clearly written in scripture here:
In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.
Jesus says we are blessed if we believe:
Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.
Do I believe? Yes without any doubt and I am thankful he is came out of the tomb. I am thankful he is not in the grave. I am thankful he is right here with me in my heart. I Believe……………….
I remember when I first gave my life to Jesus and the spirit of God filled me it was the most amazing days of my life. I could hardly concentrate on this world but at some point I return to the normal day to day living without such a heavy presence of his spirit.
I would say that was a miracle that he changed me. Ever since that day I wake and yearn to be back in that spirit body I experienced. My personal experience was similar to what Paul described in 2 Corinthians 12:3
And I knew such a man, (whether in the body, or out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;)
That is how I felt for an extended time and eventually the ways of the world slowly came back to me.
I have that memory of walking close with the spirit of God and he taught me many things.
As I am thinking about his miracles I realize that Jesus was never boastful about his miracles. He knew that the work of the miracle would be sufficient. Jesus in fact asked that they not tell anyone about his miracle.
Here is the scripture: Luke 5:14
And he charged him to tell no man: but go, and shew thyself to the priest, and offer for thy cleansing, according as Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them.
The man went and to everyone.
Jesus knew man inside and out and I am so glad today that I know his presence. In our case this side of the cross he is asking us to tell everyone about his Love for us all.
The miracle of the resurrection is to be spread to every nation. It is a command and we should be excited to let others know about the father and what was done at the cross.
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
As I move into another blessed day given to me by grace may I have my ears tuned to what Jesus would do in all situations.
Let us lead others to the cross………….
