Verse of the day 06/01/2014

Isaiah 50:10
Who among you fears the Lord and obeys the voice of his servant?
Let him who walks in darkness and has no light trust in the name of the Lord and rely on his God.

When I was in total darkness I was walking in my own power. I had no idea of a better way. Now I walk in darkness but there is a light that shines in front of me. This light is a savior call Jesus Christ.
I am thankful he called me to his presence and I am thankful I responded to it.

I fear the lord now but it is a different fear from the fear I had of not knowing him. The fear now is a fear of respect and awe of his power and glory.

Here are some verses to think about.

Psalm 23:4
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

I no longer fear him from a place of unknowing but from a place of total trust.

Psalm 27:1
The LORD is my light and my salvation– whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life– of whom shall I be afraid?

There is no person, place, or thing that I will fear. I shall fear nothing with God on my side.

2 Timothy 1:7
For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline.

I shall continue to learn of God’s power in my life and listen to his spiritual voice calling me.

Deuteronomy 31:6
Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”

Many times in scripture God gives me a comforting statement. He will never leave nor forsake me.
So today as I move into this wonderful day given to me by grace let me walk without fear of what may happen or not happen and be in total trust of his plan for my life.

Let me walk today in total trust.

Amen
