Verse of the day 06/02/2014

Proverbs 11:28
Whoever trusts in his riches will fall, but the righteous will flourish like a green leaf.

Heavenly father let me be content with what I have. Let me not want more that I really need to where you want me to be in life. May the status I have now be the only thing that matters in my life. If you want me to have more I will have more. If you want me to be content where I am financially I will be happy.

Let me always remember that it is a about a kingdom within my heart and not what is seen. I live a comfortable life now and to some countries in the world it is probably the life of a king in some respects.
I give thanks to you for such a great and complete life in your son Jesus Christ.

Here are some scriptures I can hold on to today:

Hebrews 13:5
Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”

Let me never forget that money is not my focus but the will of God’s kingdom should always be my focus.

Philippians 4:11-13
Not that I am speaking of being in need, for I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content. I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need. I can do all things through him who strengthens me.

I want to always remember that the past conditions have got me to where I am now and I shall never forget how they have strengthened me. To some I may seem not well off but in my heart I know the riches I truly posses.

1 Timothy 6:6-8
Now there is great gain in godliness with contentment, for we brought nothing into the world, and we cannot take anything out of the world. But if we have food and clothing, with these we will be content.
So dear father as I move into yet another day given to me by the grace of your love let me remember to be thankful in every situation. Let me not focus on material gain or material things but let me focus only on the kingdom of your word.

Let me focus now on you.
