My son, do not despise the Lord’s discipline or be weary of his reproof,
for the Lord reproves him whom he loves,as a father the son in whom he delights.
Dear father I accept your correction in my life. I know that I need correction and understanding and I am totally subjected to your authority.
When I am going on my way I sometimes slip into old behavior and I need to be corrected and redirected. It is a part of the spiritual walk that I continually be in your authority and I am also thankful that you love us enough to come after us when we go astray.
Today I will meditate on these scriptures:
“Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Doesn’t he leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it?
Thank you Lord for your Love for all your sheep. Even when we mess up you reach out to us with correction and you discipline us.
2 Timothy 3:16
All scripture [is] given by inspiration of God, and [is] profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
I continue in the word because he draws me to himself.
If you fully obey the Lord your God and carefully follow all his commands I give you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations on earth.
It is a promise from you O’Lord that you will set us on high if we obey your principles and guidelines through your precious word.
A righteous man falling down before the wicked [is as] a troubled fountain, and a corrupt spring.
Dear father let me not follow after wicked things. Let me know when to leave situations that may draw me into disobedience.
1 Timothy 5:8
But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.
I will try my best to do my part and help the kingdom of God and dedicate my life to growing the family of God.
So as I move into this wonderful day I will give thanks for your correction and reproof in my life. I will look for it as a son looks to his father. I will make it a point today to constantly point my life to the word of God by meditating on the scriptures listed today.
