Verse of the day 06/08/2014

Psalm 18:1-2
I love you, O Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer,
my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.

There is nothing in this whole wide world that could come between me and my savior Jesus Christ. I love every moment in this life given to me. Even when seemingly bad time arise I can quickly look to God and realize it is a plan in progress. I will accept all situations, ones I can do something about and the ones I can’t do anything about.

It is a daily progress and I realize that it is my attitude towards what happens to me that makes up my day.

Today I will meditate on these scriptures:

Colossians 1:9
And so, from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God.

I will study to know more about God. Reading his word is something I must do to maintain a good spiritual life.

1 Peter 2:1-25
So put away all malice and all deceit and hypocrisy and envy and all slander. Like newborn infants, long for the pure spiritual milk, that by it you may grow up into salvation— if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is good. As you come to him, a living stone rejected by men but in the sight of God chosen and precious, you yourselves like living stones are being built up as a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

Everyday I am being taught and guided in his authority. I will allow him to work in me.

2 Peter 3:18
But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.

His grace allows me to get up every time I fall.

Galatians 5:22-23
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.

I ask God every day to allow me to know and live more in the spirit of his teaching and become more and more like him.

Matthew 5:6
“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.

So dear father as I move into this wonderful day given to me by your mercy and grace let me always hunger and thirst for your glory and I press forward to your calling in my life.
