But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the fruit you get leads to sanctification and its end, eternal life.
I am thankful that I have been set free. I once was lost and had no hope but now I am found and have hope as my anchor to hold on. Giving thanks for the opportunity to be sanctified and set free is my praise.
Being a slave for Christ is not a burden at all. The word slave sounds as though it a difficult life but being a slave for Christ is just the opposite. It is a life of freedom in which we give thanks for all he has done and we are slaves to his message and teachings. We give thanks and work towards spreading the good news.
These verses today are uplifting:
For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.
I am no longer a slave to sin but I am a slave to God.
2 Corinthians 3:17
Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.
I have freedom because of Christ’s atonement.
For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.
Although I am free it doesn’t give me a license to do what I want. All things are permissible but not all things are profitable.
So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.
I can trust in his word that he is faithful and true.
And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
What a great feeling to know the truth that has set us free from the bondage of sin.
For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God,
So dear father as I move into another beautiful day given to me let me realize that it is a free give given to me. I didn’t have to work for it but only believe and turn my life over to you.
Help me today realize your power and grace and let me live in Love for all.
