Verse of the day 06/18/2014

John 14:27
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

To me the important part of this verse is ‘I do not give to you as the world gives’. The world does not understand the things and love of God. The world will toss you out in a matter of seconds and not think anything about it. The world doesn’t care anything about your well being just theirs. The good part about it is that even though that is true that the world doesn’t care about me God is always by my side in any worldly situation and I can be assured I will get through anything.

Verses to meditate on today.

1 John 5:19
And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.

I am thankful I am not of the world anymore. My new life is of heavenly things.

1 Peter 2:9
But ye [are] a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

Thank God he called me into the light.

Galatians 1:4
Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father:

There is evilness in the world.
Acts 2:40 – And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation.

I thank God every day he died for my wickedness and sins.
Matthew 24:13
But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

Dear Father I pray everyday that I have strength to carry on and move to the high calling of your son Jesus the Christ. May today I consider the cost of your sons life for all who believe in your salvation and atonement for my wickedness. May I serve with a good heart today.

Amen
