Verse of the day 06/25/2014

Psalm 84:11
For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows favor and honor. No good thing does he withhold from those who walk uprightly.

Let me remember although the Lord shows favor to his elect and his followers I must take a daily evaluation of how I am walking with God. Have I really made a meaningful confession of my sins and made a conscious effort to not do those sins again. Have I repented with a true confession to not do those unpleasing things again.

Let me keep these verses in my heart today.

James 5:16

Confess [your] faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

If I am struggling and getting no where in my own effort let me go to my brother and ask him to pray with me and let him know what is happening in my life.

James 5:1
Go to now, ye rich men, weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon you.

Let me focus on what is really important in this world. Focusing on his word and truth is my goal.

Romans 8:1
There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

Let me be grateful that I have a savior that will forgive me of my sins.

1 John 1:9 – If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Today I want to really take an inventory of my actions and focus on what is not worthy to be in my life. I want to focus on confession of all sins that are not pleasing to the life I have decided to follow. I made a decision to turn my life over to a savior but have I really been living a life that is totally faithful.

Although I have a sinful nature I must strive to let the holy spirit continue to clean my life up on a daily basis which means taking inventory of my daily walk everyday and confessing my sins from a heartfelt place.

Today I confess my sins to Jesus and ask for forgiveness.

My heart is wide open to you o’lord to forgive me of my actions that have not been pleasing to your kingdom way of living.
