Verse of the day 07/08/2014

Job 1:21
And he said, “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return. The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.”

All that I have is because of the Lord. I am thankful that I do have what I have and should the Lord take it away let me be as Job and be content with what ever my life brings.

In hardships and in good times let me rejoice in the reality that God is working all things together in my life. I have a full and wonderful life now. I am not waiting until something happens or comes along to be happy, I am blessed and happy now with what I have.

It is because of the knowledge of the word that lets me know better things are ahead. I call upon God to give me grace and peace through every experience here and now. I make any situation the best I can through faith and hope.

Today I will focus on these verses:

Job 19:25
I know that my redeemer lives, and that in the end he will stand on the earth.

I look to the life to come where no pain, grief, or sorrow will be experienced. Only love and peace. His promise is trustworthy.

Job 38:4
“Where were you when I laid the earth’s foundation? Tell me, if you understand.”

God knew me before I was born even before the foundation of the earth. He also knows my future, a future with him for eternity in peace.

Job 28:28
And he said to athe human race, “The fear of the Lord – that is wisdom, and to shun evil is understanding.”

Yes!! I will fear the Lord with wisdom and truth.

Job 12:12
Is not wisdom found among the aged? Does not long life bring understanding?

I look for wisdom in all that I do.

Job 13:15
Though he slay me, yet will I hope in him;

Dear Father what ever you bring in my life let me be ok with all that you do. Let me have the wisdom to stand firm with your word and hope in you.

Amen
