No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
The key to this verse for me is the word through. It is only through his love that we can do anything at all. We conquer pain, sickness, hardships and all distress only through his grace. Even if we are not aware of his love we are still conquerors. He can never leave us or forsake us. It has taken great heart ache and pain to realize that when my heart was given to him from that point my life was no longer mine but Christ living in me.
I may fall away from the awareness of him working in me, but the fact remains he is in all affairs of my life no matter if I realize it or not. That is something that I must give praises to him for because of his great love for us.
May I get to the place that I realize he wants to give me the desires of my heart. I need to understand his love for me or I will miss out on joy in my life and live a defeated life.
Let me concentrate on these verses today:
I am the vine, ye [are] the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
I can’t even take one breath on my own for it is he that sustains life.
Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.
If I really do what the father wants me to do I shall be content in all things.
Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.
May I put the whole armor of God on so that I can edify and not tear down.
But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine:
So heavenly father as I move into another blessed day let me edify and build up with my thoughts, deeds and actions. May I be more like Jesus in every way. I know that sin is crouching at the door every minute of the day but let me have the power and will to stand firm against the forces that only want to tear me down.
