Do not speak evil against one another, brothers. The one who speaks against a brother or judges his brother, speaks evil against the law and judges the law. But if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law but a judge. There is only one lawgiver and judge, he who is able to save and to destroy. But who are you to judge your neighbor?
Let me love my neighbor as myself and with the love of God.
Dear father help me to realize that the moment I judge someone I am out of my place. I must immediately focus upon your love when I start to judge and bring myself back to love.
Always let me look at how I was before I knew of your saving power and yet others loved me with no judgment. Some may have judged me but they were dealt with for sure. I am in no place to judge only love and be there for God to use me in any situation. Judgment only tears me down and leaves a heavy burden on my soul.
I will focus upon these verses today:
Judge not, that ye be not judged.
Once I start down the judgment road I am doomed. I shall be judged also. I should only focus on love.
Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven:
Thank God that I am washed with the blood of Jesus and my sins are forgiven. My only focus should be to let Christ live in me in all I do and say. I will proclaim his grace.
There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy: who art thou that judgest another?
I know who is in charge.
Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.
Today as I meditate upon these verses about judging let me know that my only role in the body of Christ is to use my calling and gifts to edify and build up and never tear down with my tongue or with thoughts of judgment.
Today’s song for my day lets us know who is the one that judges.
