Verse of the day 07/14/2014

Hebrews 13:5
Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said,
“Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.”

I have been in situations where people are trying so hard to get ahead in the corporate world and I pray for them because they seem to step on people to get there. I don’t have much and I am perfectly happy. I have had opportunities to step on people but thank the Lord I have a spirit of faith and truth and love and accept what comes my way without having to feel the need to act in ways that do not respect others. Some have asked me if I want to be rich and famous and I just let them know that I am rich and famous now. I know the maker of the universe and he supplies my needs as I need them. I have quite a lot compared to other countries in this world.

Why I don’t have a very well know status is not important to me. God called me to be Dave a musician and I am happy with that. I also work during the day and I try to do the best I can at my place of employment and want to serve God.

So I need things to live and I am certainly in this world and want to prosper but I accept where I am and the state that God has me in.

I thank God for all of the jobs I have had and I know that I learned a lot from them so I will continue to be content with my life and respecting others is very important to me.

Today I will concentrate on these verses:

Isaiah 54:17
“No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord …”

Nothing shall keep me from this race towards God that I am in. No money, status, or anything will discourage me. I am wealthy in spirit and truth and I thank God every moment of my life.

Luke 10:19
“Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”

When calamity comes my way I rely on the promises of God and scripture keeps me on track with truth statements. God says I have power over Satin and I will call on God in every situation I am in.

Romans 8:38-39
“For I am persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers … nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Why would I be afraid of anything when I have scripture like this to comfort me?

James 4:7 ” … Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”

I have the power given to me. I will use it with thanks giving and adoration for my Lord and savior.

1 John 4:4
“You … have overcome them: because greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world.”

Dear father this last scripture tells me I have overcome and I will stand on that truth. It is because you live within me that I am able to exist. Nothing in this world belongs to me. You own everything even my soul.

I give you thanks !!!
Here I am to worship your grace and love.

Amen
