I love you, O Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.
This famous verse says a whole lot. How could I add to today’s verse?
King David was such a faithful follower of God and the spirit always convicted him to turn back to God when he was in disobedience. God always helped him just as he will always help us.
I get on my knees today and return back to God. Sin so easily ensnares me. So I will call upon God with a heart felt conviction to confess my sins and turn to him. I will always turn to him for I am unworthy and need to always keep in check with the spirit who teaches me and guides me.
Before I even realize it sin enters in and leads me to unrighteousness. Thank God for the holy spirit to guide me and convict me.
I ask God to renew my spirit and I shall be strong again because he is my hope and my savior. He knows me inside out.
Today let me concentrate on these verses:
And they remembered that God was their rock, And the Most High God their Redeemer.
What love God displays towards those who love him.
I will say to God my rock, “Why have You forgotten me? Why do I go mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?”
We get in a place sometimes and we feel as though God has forgotten us but he is there always.
You will have songs as in the night when you keep the festival, And gladness of heart as when one marches to the sound of the flute, To go to the mountain of the LORD, to the Rock of Israel.
As believers we know where to go to when we need help.
The rock of my salvation shall be my chant today. I will remember all day long that the rock of my salvation lives.
