Verse of the day 07/24/2014

Psalm 55:17
Evening and morning and at noon I utter my complaint and moan, and he hears my voice.

King David always called on the Lord. I have noticed that King David mentions in many psalms that he hears my voice and I am glad he hears our voice also.

Many days I have to get on my knees and cry out to the Lord and I do know he hears my voice. I know God loves to hear a believer cry out to him. Jesus loves to help us in our weakness.

As I studied crying out to the Lord today I realized how others cried out to God.

I will concentrate on these verses today:

Judges 6:7
Now it came about when the sons of Israel cried to the LORD on account of Midian,

I will cry out to the Lord because he hears my voice.

1 Samuel 7:9
Samuel took a suckling lamb and offered it for a whole burnt offering to the LORD; and Samuel cried to the LORD for Israel and the LORD answered him.

I will cry out to the Lord because he hears my voice.

2 Chronicles 14:11
Then Asa called to the LORD his God and said, “LORD, there is no one besides You to help in the battle between the powerful and those who have no strength; so help us, O LORD our God, for we trust in You, and in Your name have come against this multitude. O LORD, You are our God; let not man prevail against You.”

I will cry out to the Lord because he hears my voice.

Psalms 34:6
This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him And saved him out of all his troubles.

I will cry out to the Lord because he hears my voice.

Lamentations 2:18
Their heart cried out to the Lord, “O wall of the daughter of Zion, Let your tears run down like a river day and night; Give yourself no relief, Let your eyes have no rest.

Dear father each day I read your word I learn something new. Your word is powerful and teaches us how we should live.

I realize today how much crying out to you is such a normal thing for Christians to do. Calling out to you is what we should do. Instead of trying to work things out on our own all we have to do is call upon your name and we shall live victoriously through Christ Jesus.
