Verse of the day 08/04/2014

Joshua 24:15
But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.”

I remember living my life without God. Now I wake every morning giving thanks for another day. So as far as me and my house I will serve the Lord. I am a new creature in Christ Jesus.

It is a choice everyone must make. There are two roads we can take, a road without God or a road with God and I can say that the road without God was much more difficult.

It is a decision to serve God willingly and I make that decision everyday I wake with a heart of gratitude.

Which way will I go?
I ask my self when I wake. Will I serve God or mamon?
I am giving a choice each morning I wake.

Today let me focus on these verses:

Hebrews 6:10
God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them.

Pressing forward no matter what comes in my way is the life I live now.

Galatians 5:13
You, my brothers, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the sinful nature; rather, serve one another in love.

Lord’ help me to be more a part of the family of God.

1 Peter 1:12
It was revealed to them that they were not serving themselves but you, when they spoke of the things that have now been told you by those who have preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven. Even angels long to look into these things.

I will be led by the spirit of God.

Romans 12:1
Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God–this is your spiritual act of worship.

I give my life to God and serve with a willing heart today.

Romans 12:11
Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord.

So dear father today I will go into another blessed day given to me by your grace and love and I will try my best to serve you and all that you are is what I seek.

Help me to be more like you and give me the desire to follow after your teachings.
