Verse of the day 08/07/2014

Luke 4:18-19
“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.”

In the book of Luke Jesus read scripture from the scrolls and then he started driving out impure spirits and healing people. He was what was written about and he was fulfilling scripture.  Luke 4

Let me have the spirit upon me to do the work I am called to do and that is to spread the word of the Lord to those that do not know him. Proclaiming the spirit of the Lord is my focus. That is what Jesus wants us to do.

Let me focus upon these scriptures today:

Mark 16:15
“And He said to them, ‘Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.’”

Let me be aware of my surroundings and be a vessel for God’s Love.

Psalms 96:3
“Declare His glory among the nations, His wonders among all peoples.”

Let me declare his words of wisdom.

Revelation 14:6-7
“Then I saw another angel flying in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach to those who dwell on the earth—to every nation, tribe, tongue, and people— saying with a loud voice, ‘Fear God and give glory to Him, for the hour of His judgment has come; and worship Him who made heaven and earth, the sea and springs of water.’”

I give thanks for the savior of the world Jesus Christ.

Matthew 28:19-20
“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

If Jesus tells us in two different accounts in Mark and Matthew then it is something for me to think about and take as a serious matter.

I must proclaim his word.

Today let me proclaim his word.

Amen
