Verse of the day 08/13/2014

Matthew 6:34
“Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.”

I ask today that God teach me how to not worry about tomorrow. I ask God to help me slow down my life so that I may have time to take a look at a flower and notice how beautiful it is or to pay attention to all the wonderful things that I just race by during a day.

Let me enjoy today and all the things that are given to me to enjoy instead of worrying about what I am going to do in the future.

I ask God to keep me focused on today and take care of the things that are going on now and have faith that you provide me with a life that can be full if I don’t let worry get in the way of your blessing me.

Today I will meditate on these scriptures.

Matt 6:25-27
“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?

Let me learn to live (truly live) one day at a time and know deep in my soul you shall provide me everything I need.

Psalm 91:4
He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.

My faith in God will always point to the words you spoke on the cross,’IT IS FINISHED’.

Jeremiah 29:11
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Help me to turn my life over to your plan minute by minute and day by day.

Psalm 46:1
God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.

So dear father if I really believe the bible and these verses from the bible then I know that what ever comes my way I will be in safe keeping at the end of the day provided I am sold out to you…..

Let me be grateful for the gift of your written word that teaches me and helps me through each day. Today let me live life to the fullest and with joy and gladness in my heart.

Amen
