1 John 2:3-4
And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
It is very important that I do what he ask me to do. I must follow after his lead and in this way I will know him and he shall be my Lord and savior.
If I do not follow him and do as the word says then I am not a disciple and the truth is not in me. The fact that I know the word and who Jesus Christ is lets me have fellowship with him. It is a drawing of the holy spirit that keeps me wanting to know more and more.
A person that has not answered the call of God does not have fellowship with the father and is not even worried about him. This person does not have the truth of God in him and is lost.
A person with out God is a lonely lost soul and needs a savior.
Today let me focus on these verses about following his word.
When Jesus came down from the mountain, large crowds followed Him.
Jesus draws souls to himself. It is up to the free will of the individual to answer or not.
But the crowds were aware of this and followed Him; and welcoming them, He began speaking to them about the kingdom of God and curing those who had need of healing.
This verse tells me that Jesus is excited when we follow him. He welcomed them.
A large crowd followed Him, because they saw the signs which He was performing on those who were sick.
Ask God to come into your heart and he will show you things that will stay with you for a life time. He shows himself to those that ask him.
Now when Jesus heard this, He marveled at him, and turned and said to the crowd that was following Him, “I say to you, not even in Israel have I found such great faith.”
Dear father we know that without faith it is impossible to please you. Today as I move into another blessed day given to me by your grace let me follow you where you lead and let miracles and signs and wonders be part of my life.
Let me live in your kingdom of grace.
My prayer today is that someone in my sphere of influence has a new birth in Christ today and the angels in heaven shall rejoice. My prayer is that hopefully God will use me to bring that happiness in some ones life today.
