Verse of the day 08/18/2014

Proverbs 13:11
Wealth gotten by vanity shall be diminished: but he that gathereth by labour shall increase.

My prayer is that I never use money to classify my worth. I need money to live but let my life style match who I am. If I need a lot of money God shall see to it that I will have a whole lot of money but my life does not require that I be classified as rich at this time and I am alright if God never gives me great riches here on earth because my true riches are in heaven awaiting withdrawal at any moment God requires me to use it.

My life is a simple life requiring not a great deal money to live. I am who I am. Let me never try to get money for the sake of getting more money.

I am happy being who I am and not having the status of a rich person does not bother me.

I will meditate on these verses:

1 Timothy 6:10
For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evils. It is through this craving that some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pangs.

May I never look to money for happiness.

Matthew 6:31-33
Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

God shall supply my need with trust in him.

Proverbs 13:11
Wealth gained hastily will dwindle, but whoever gathers little by little will increase it.

God shall bring gain in my life when my heart is right and I am an obedient servant. When he ask me to go to that level of service I will be ready with a heart of service.

Matthew 6:24
“No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.

Let me never look to money for my happiness. Let me look to God and only God. He knows my needs.

Proverbs 21:20
Precious treasure and oil are in a wise man’s dwelling, but a foolish man devours it.

Let me learn how to use money wisely.

So today as I move into another blessed day given to me by grace let my consciousness be focused on the kingdom instead of earthly gains.

My riches are in heaven and God shall give to me on an as needed basis.
