Verse of the day 08/19/2014

2 Peter 3:8
But do not overlook this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

We operate in time here on earth. God operates in eternity. It is nothing for God to move through time and answer prayers, we just need to concentrate on praying without ceasing and let the God of the universe do what he does.

I realize that one day in my little world is not the same as Gods day.

Although I have never been given revelation of this verse I know that in time God shall reveal the meaning to me.

I will meditate on these scriptures today:

2 Timothy 1:9

“This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time.”

God time is awesome. Imagine 1000 years roaring by in one day. Could we handle such an awesome thing? Before I was born he knew he would be giving me grace to live my life.

Titus 1:2

“A faith and knowledge resting on the hope of eternal life, which God, who does not lie, promised before the beginning of time.”

I will wait faithfully on your promise of eternal life.

Psalm 139

“Where can I go from your Spirit?… All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.”

I was saved be for I entered this world. That is something I shall praise God for.

Colossians 1:15-17
“He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by Him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by Him and for Him. He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.”

Invisible yet visible through all he has created.

Dear father although I do not understand how you operate in many dimensions let me not worry so much about that as much as put my trust in your promises and have faith in your saving grace. Let me live in this life given to me by grace and be thankful for that grace.
