Verse of the day 09-30-14 (Call on the name of the Lord)

Romans 10:13                                                              David W. Aucoin

For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

When the word of God says everyone that means everyone. It is a free gift that God offers us and it is called salvation by faith and grace. God is no respecter of persons.

God sees us as sinners but sees Jesus as perfect. We are made perfect through Jesus and we ought to be so thankful that we are covered in the blood of Jesus and God sees us as clean and holy through Jesus his one and only son.

When we as believers first turn to God there is a moment in time that has been marked in eternity and no one on earth can take that sealing of the holy spirit away from us. We are children of the most high and nothing can come between us and God.

The word of God says we WILL be saved when we call on the name of the Lord. (Jesus)

Today let me focus on these scriptures:

John 6:44

No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.

We heard him calling us to come closer and we responded. A work only God can do. He uses us to spread his word but the ultimate call is of God’s spirit. He draws us.

Jeremiah 33:3

Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.

God has shown me many great things that were only meant for me to know and understand. He does the same for every believer who will ask for wisdom and knowledge.

Philippians 1:6

Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform [it] until the day of Jesus Christ:

Dear father these words comfort me as I live this christian life of sacrifice knowing that you promise to complete a work in me. It is uplifting to my soul and gives me reason to press forward to the high calling you have for me.

Quote for my day:

Grace doesn’t run from trouble–in fact it looks for trouble as a backdrop so that you can see how strong it is.
