Final words on the reading of Colossians this week.
Today is the last day of a week long dedication to reading Colossians 1:1-11.
This week I am amazed at the importance of prayer within the body of Christ. It is not just for leaders who have eloquent words but for all believers who call to him on high within the church. Lay people within the church as well as teachers, pastors, evangelist, doctors, lawyers, everyone has the gift of grace to go before the throne of God with boldness and ask whatever is on their hearts believing it will be answered. Paul knew that prayer is the doorway to God’s heart. Prayer is our direct line to Jesus and he answers our prayers seated at the right hand of the father. Thank God for prayer.
Another important duty as a believer is our steadfastness to want to spread the word. We encourage each other so that we will all strengthen each other as we go through sickness and hardships on a journey dedicated to to a life of worship and spreading of Gods word though out the world. We lift each other up and support each other as we work towards a kingdom without end. Combined prayer and effort helps the body of Christ grow and flourish and therefore we shall all endure to the end with prayer and dedication bearing fruit through Jesus Christ the savior of the world.

2 To God’s holy people in Colossae, the faithful brothers and sisters[a] in Christ:
Grace and peace to you from God our Father.[b]
Thanksgiving and Prayer
3 We always thank God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, when we pray for you, 4 because we have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of the love you have for all God’s people— 5 the faith and love that spring from the hope stored up for you in heaven and about which you have already heard in the true message of the gospel 6 that has come to you. In the same way, the gospel is bearing fruit and growing throughout the whole world—just as it has been doing among you since the day you heard it and truly understood God’s grace. 7 You learned it from Epaphras, our dear fellow servant,[c] who is a faithful minister of Christ on our[d] behalf, 8 and who also told us of your love in the Spirit.
9 For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you. We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives,[e] 10 so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, 11 being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience,
Today let us all pray for the world of believers and lift all leaders up in prayer.
Let us stand together as believers in Christ Jesus.
Prayer and Jesus Christ is our only hope.

I look to a day when people will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.
