Verse of the day 09/16/2014

Psalm 1:1-3 (David W. Aucoin)
1:1 Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners,
nor sits in the seat of scoffers; 2 but his delight is in the law of the Lord,
and on his law he meditates day and night.
3 He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers.

Today let me read this verse and take it in. Let me know that the spirit of God is always teaching me by reading his word. In a world driven by materialism and ego let me keep a stead fast focus upon the word of God.

I ask today that I may not fall into temptation and I ask that the leaders of the world be led in the right direction. I pray that the world shall come together in peace and harmony today.

Let me focus upon these verses today:

Proverbs 28: 1

The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion.

Let me allow God to fight my battles.

Romans 8:1

There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

As long as I keep walking in the guidance of the word of God I shall be protected.

Isaiah 45:7

I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.

Let me always remember that Christ died for me and that the whole plan of salvation was orchestrated by the maker of heaven and earth.

Psalms 5:4

For thou art not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness: neither shall evil dwell with thee.

So dear father today as I meditate upon this scripture let me always know who is in control and when I think of the world and all of the problems let me know that in the book of Revelation you wrote there will be a day of rejoicing in heaven with the shouts and sounds of angels in the comfort of your mighty plan.

Quote for my day:

I don’t know what your destiny will be, but one thing I know: the only ones among you who will be really happy are those who will have sought and found how to serve.
