Verse of the day 09/24/14 – Five sparrows sold for two pennies

Luke 12:6-7

Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? And not one of them is forgotten before God. Why, even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not; you are of more value than many sparrows.

I am lifted up this morning reading the random verse today. If I think for one minute that I am forgotten of God I am sadly mistaken. Just think of what Jesus said. He was speaking about mankind himself and if he can remember every hair on each persons head that is inconceivable.

May I interject a little humor. He surely will remember me because I have few hairs on my head. Anyway!

Have you ever sat down and though about a God that knows every second of every persons life. That is quite hard to conceive. I also think of all of the creatures and insects and forms of life he has created just truly amazing. Just so many things of God are amazing.

Today I want to focus on some praise verses:

Exodus 15:2

The LORD is my strength and song, and he is become my salvation: he is my God, and I will prepare him an habitation; my father’s God, and I will exalt him.

I make a place every morning to sit in your presence and praise you and give you thanks.

2 Samuel 22:50

Therefore I will give thanks to you, O LORD, among the heathen, and I will sing praises to your name.

Even though I walk in a fallen world I will look to you for my strength.

1 Chronicles 29:13 Now therefore, our God, we thank you, and praise your glorious name.

I simply praise your name each morning I wake and you make a beautiful day for me.

Psalms 35:28 And my tongue shall speak of your righteousness and of your praise all the day long.

Dear father I give you thanks for another day and ask for guidance through out my day.

Be with this world and guide our leaders today.
