2 Timothy 4:7
I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.
With everything inside of my soul I look to hear the words well done my faithful servant. It is a road of faithfulness that my heart leans on. Not a works based life filled with must do’s and guide lines coming from man and his structured organizations.
No, the life my spirit lives is a life free to choose by the leading and prompting of the holy spirit and at the same time I am at war with the members of my body. Jesus knows we have battles and we over come them when we accept trials and tribulations with a dauntless perseverance.
When God is ready to reveal things to me he shall reveal them to me in his timing. In the mean time I will focus on two important things.
Accepting his LOVE through faith alone.
And showing his LOVE.
This life I live is not a life filled with an arrogance that I know something others don’t but a life lived in peace with the father and a steady reading, learning, and putting into practice what the spirit teaches me through the word. I need not worry about what I don’t know in theology but rather what am I doing with the theology God has shown me?
Am I focused ahead of the spirit with worries and strife or am I settled in at this moment on this one main fact that I am sealed with the holy spirit and a child of the most high because he Loved me not because I am a highly skilled bible scholar but because I am a child of the most high.
God has called many wonderful people to lead us by their special gift of biblical knowledge revealed to them by God and has called others to focus on their gifts of service and dedication to the body of Christ.
I will focus only on the teaching of what Peter said about living for god today:
Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen.
Should I go around and boast because I am a musician? Should a preacher boast because he can preach well? Should an evangelist boast of his ability to bring people to God in a tent meeting? Should anyone boast of their calling at all. I would say no we should boast of Jesus Christ and what HE has done.
I feel like what Peter wrote is so very important and especially at this point of my walk with God I will stay steadfast on the mark that God has pointed me towards. The finishing line BY FAITH.
I will share my musical talent with others just as others share their talents. Every word that comes from my mouth needs to be pointed towards God and not myself.
That’s a tall order especially when James said we can’t tame the tongue.
So today I will focus on what I do know and not what I don’t know because what I do know will get me to heaven and it is this.
( Jesus died for me and every sinner that repents)
This is the fight I will fight.
I will fight opposition to Grace and truth and stand firm living in the freedom we have through Grace and more importantly letting the spirit lead and teach me, not the world’s intellect.

You’re born. You suffer. You die. Fortunately, there’s a loophole.
