Verse of the day 10-01-14 (Trust in the Lord)

Isaiah 26:4                                                                                   David W. Aucoin

Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord God is an everlasting rock.

Let me focus my thoughts upon what God has for me and my future. Let me enjoy everyday knowing that he is guiding me to the promise land. What ever comes my way I will be content and satisfied.

The Lord is my strength.

We have eternity to ponder with in our minds. We shall be with him forever and listening to him is such an important discipline.

We get in the way of God’s plan for our lives and we try to make things happen. Why do we do that? Sin…

We let fear come into our lives and before we know it we have become work-a-holics and busybodies. The only way we can overcome those times when we fall into fear and wanting to do things our way is to constantly read God’s word. Without reading his word regularly we fall short of understanding, become weak  and we then regret what we have done, sometimes too late and we deal with the discipline he has for our disobedience.

I will focus on these verses today:

Philippians 4:11
I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances.

When I relax in the Love of God then I can be content because of all of his promises. What a blessing to have the creator of the world guiding my life. I will pray that I live by the spirit and not my flesh.

Hebrews 13:5

Let your conversation [be] without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

God’s word is so accurate and instep with the holy spirit and I am truly thankful for his guidance in my life. What shall I fear?

1 Timothy 6:6 – But godliness with contentment is great gain.

My prayer is that God continue to guide me in all truth. I will give him thanks and praises all the days of my life.

Dear father,

Let my main focus not be on what I don’t have but let me rejoice in those things that I do have. Forgetting the material and focusing on the spiritual. Things unseen. Love, Joy, Peace, Long Suffering, Gentleness, Goodness, and Faith these are the things I want to trust that you will build up in me because these attributes are more powerful than sorrow, pain, fear etc……………..

As I meditate this morning I am thankful for all God has given us and one of the most blessed gifts he has given us is the ability to express through songs of praise. Music is such a strong and powerful gift of the spirit of God.

Quote for my day:

God always has and always will look for men and women who say to Him, ‘I trust you so much, I’m all in. I want your way not mine. I am willing to live by faith!’
