Verse of the day 05/23/2014

Proverbs 15:31-32
The ear that listens to life-giving reproof
will dwell among the wise.
Whoever ignores instruction despises himself,
but he who listens to reproof gains intelligence.

I am going to start making Fridays and Saturdays scripture reflection days because I am going to be coming in at late hours. I am playing music again. I will not have as much time to express my thoughts like with Jesus calling and verse of the day. I would be posting it later during the day so I want to make sure to keep my promise of before 7:00 am.

Jesus and Paul’s words are better than mine anyway.

2 Timothy 3:16
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

May I always remember to take heed of the word of God and listen closely.

Job 26:11
The pillars of heaven tremble and are astonished at his reproof.

May I remember the awesome power God has to crumble vast mountains and cave the landscape inward.

Proverbs 1:25
But ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would none of my reproof:

I don’t want to ever be in a position to refuse his correction ever.

Proverbs 6:23
For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life:

Let my life and the way I live always be in check with the law of love and when I disobey let me quickly and certainly be convicted back to a relationship with the God of heaven and earth.
Most of the scriptures on reproof (kjv) come from proverbs the wisdom book.

Has to be just awesome…

So today if God in anyway corrects me I will quickly turn from my disobedience.
